Cascade On Start Menu
Available for: Single Folders, Window background, Desktop

Cascade On Start Menu recreates the contents of the current (or selected) folder and optionally its subfolders on the Start menu, letting you browse and use the contents of an often-used folder without hunting it down in Explorer.

To add a folder to the Start menu:

  1. Right-click a folder, or a blank space between icons in a folder window or on the desktop, and choose Cascade On Start Menu from the ShellToys menu.

  2. Type a name for the new folder that will be added to the Start menu (or keep the original name).

  3. If the selected folder's subfolders should also be represented on the Start menu, check the Include items in subfolders box. If this box isn't checked, only files in the selected folder will be added to the Start menu.

  4. If files with the System or Hidden attribute should be ignored, check the Ignore system and hidden files box. If this box isn't checked, system and hidden files will be included on the Start menu.

  5. Click OK. A new folder with the chosen name will be added to the Start menu containing shortcuts to the files in the folder you selected (and its subfolders and their contents if the Include items in subfolders box was checked).
